Five apartments at 210 E. 13th St. were completely lost after a Friday morning fire, said Bowling Green Deputy Fire Chief Jerry Oliver.
People were inside the apartments at the time, but all got out by the time fire fighters arrived, Deputy Chief John Weatherbee said.
One woman was taken to the Medical Center,Weatherbee said.
She is listed in good condition, said Brandon Jones, Medical Center marketing specialist.
The fire department received a call at about 10 a.m. today about the fire, Oliver said.
Thirty-one firefighters responded to the fire. It was under control by 10:41 a.m., Weatherbee said.
The fire department will probably remain at the site throughout the night to maintain security, he said.
The complex was a row of five connected apartments that weren’t separated by a fire wall, Oliver said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
